I'm having technical trouble processing my order online, is there another way to finish it?

So sorry for the trouble! Sometimes we and technology don't get a long. If you're having an issue finishing your order on the website, please email Sales@VauteCouture.com with the Style/Size/Color you'd like to order. You can also order via our new Paypal Option option at checkout, using your Paypal account. Also, try using a different browser if you are having repeat trouble- Internet Explorer users may want to try on Safari, Firefox, or Chrome.

What do you mean by "Limited Launch"?

We plan to produce about 25-30 of each color and style this fall 2009 for our launch, so be certain not only will your coat be of the very first line of vegan, eco-conscious, ethically produced chic winter coats, but that a few dozen other people in the world will possibly be wearing the same style and color this year. Mom always said you were special.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! We just began taking international orders for coats, and have always taken international tee orders. Our new Paypal feature at checkout allows orders from all over the world, and most credit cards. If you are having trouble processing your international order, please email Sales@VauteCouture.com with specific details of the issue, any error messages, and where you are located. Is Vaute Couture Just for Veg/Eco Girls/etc?

Fantastically not. If our ethical core does nothing for you (made on a living wage in Chicago, inspired by artists, eco-conscious fabrics and methods...) keep this in mind. Women who don't carry a V card, drive a Zip!, or work at a non-profit love these coats too... why? The fabrics we chose aren't just vegan alternatives, they are superior in function too- brand new technologically advanced performance based fabrics that offer so much more than the usual pretty coat... The luxe is designed for comfort, to retain heat, resist water, wind, and snow, with a windproof liner, while the Recycled is designed for comfort and insulation, with a windproof liner as well. These fabrics are great to move in, but our pretty cuts and textures keep you chic and lovely always.

What if I have Sensitive Skin?

You're in luck. The Luxe shell fabric is incredibly soft. So whether you just love sensual fabrics near and dear, or you have a skin sensitivity to rough fabrics like wool, these coats are great for you too. A long time friend of mine would always search with me for wool-free coats- her for this reason- and it's for women like her that these coats are great for too.

How do I know what size to order?

No need to fret! Grab your measuring tape and check out our Size Chart here. If when your coat arrives it isn't the right size, just send it back for a different size from available inventory. No worries!

What does the fabric feel like in person?

The #1 comment we get when people feel the Luxe coats in person is how incredibly soft they are. They are just very super soft with a pretty tight knit texture and look. They are heavy, as you'd expect for winter, but have a softer drape than a wool fabric would. This means the way the coat lays is a little flirtier and swingier, and you can see this in the Vaute and El coat pics best as our girls are jumping and turning in them. The shell fabrics are slim and not puffy at all- similar to the thickness of a wool pea coat's fabric. The Recycled fabric has the same flirty drape as the Luxe but with the honeycomb texture is a bit rougher on the surface. The liner fabric is slick and strong and pretty- like a girly parachute was cut up, dyed Cobalt Blue, and put inside. For not adding anything to the bulk of the coat, it sure adds quite a bit of protection being windproof.
